End of Year...

...Yes I know I'm way over due!!! Let's see, a ton to post about. Thanksgiving was awesome as always, lots of food and family time!! My friend Doug came to visit and that was a blast, thanksgiving morning Jill, her friend Beth and I ran the Festival Foods Turkey Trot! 5 miles baby...and it was cold haha I wore leggings, pants, a couple shirts, running jacket, hat and gloves. Jasmine was supposed to run it with us, but she bailed out the night before, and we couldn't get Jeana to run with us either. I tell ya, you can't beat Jill and I, we're the die-hards haha jk Jill is but not me at all. Before, during and after I regreted the run haha I was pretty sore for a couple days thanks to not training at all this time. Surprisingly I wasn't too upset about my time...5 miles in 1:06, pretty happy about that!

Cedar Creek Family Fun Night 2010!!!! WOOHOO!!! It was so much fun, we tried out Cedar Creek and it was a hit! The kids had a blast and so did I!! Once again I think thanks to my brothers mostly we were on the watch list for all the lifeguards haha There weren't many people there at all, so that was super nice, but the lifeguards sure earned their money that night with us there. We ate supper in my parents room which had a huge tub, haha and yes we think we are pretty funny!!All the Grandkids!!! They had so much fun! This was right after I got there, I had to work that day so I got there after everyone else, but don't worry thanks to the kids I was all wet very quickly!

Christmas was a stinkin BLAST! I just love this holiday and everthing about it. I get to see cousins that I don't see often and I get to be with my family non-stop!! Thanks to Burbs and Jeana, we had a PJ Christmas Eve! So fun, the kids had a ball. Plus we rented Just Dance 2 for the Wii and oh my goodness!!! HILARIOUS! We had some good laughs while playing that game. We also brought back the Couples game for the adults hosted by Jasmine and myself....my goal is to one day actually participate in the game haha There was also pass-the-parcel for the kids, my ultimate favorite was when Gracie got the task of having her Mom and Dad give a hug and kiss to Grandpa and Grandma hehehe oh Jake we love you, nothing is more precious than seeing your big brother give your dad a big hug and kiss!! And of course we had tons of food! We ordered from Luigis this year and let me tell ya, the pizza was a hit!
Jasmine and my nieces are looking older than me, how is that fair?!
I just love this picture of Gryffin and me, he doesn't come by me much, apparently its not cool to come by your auntie anymore, but I snagged him for a pic :)Us girls with our Mama!!! Jill got all of us running bands, which are awesome!!!! hehe funny story but when we took our first pic iwth Jeana's camera I looked at and realized for Jeana that hers was upside down...yeah we will have to be careful for that in the future runs! And our Awesome Mom got us all scarves!! YAY!!!!

Dec, 29th!! A bunch of us bought tickets to go see Jeff Dunham at the Resch Center. I invited my friend Josh to come with us and I'm so glad. I laughed a lot that night, my face hurt! Jeff Dunham was hilarious, to be honest I really didn't know who he was before the show and my gosh now I'm a big fan! His opening acts were so funny too!! So worth the money for the tickets, such a fun night!!!
We ate at Texas Roadhouse, YUMMY!!! And Josh is enjoying his HOFFMAN SANDWICH! :) Inside joke, Jill and I met Josh at the Appleton Singles Branch and he is about one of the funniest guys around! The other table...Mama and Papa and Jerod and Shel!

Thanks to Jeana's b-day being so close we couldn't resist telling the waiter it was her b-day hehe she had to do a big YEEE-HAAAA but she did get ice cream!! oh what a night!

Life as I know it....(I know cheesy)

Thanks to boredom at work I thought I would bore you with an update (misery sure does love company)
  • My full-time "project" job is officially done as of Oct 29th, I'm sure going to miss those pay checks and since I'm not enrolled right now as I wait for my program part-time is just not going to cut it so the hunt is on for a job...jealous right?
  • As I mentioned I'm still waiting for my program...yup that's right. I'm going to be calling my advisor hopefyully today so I can figure out my game plan, I can petition in Feb and HOPEFULLY I will be starting my program in August.
  • The hunt continues for a car....my Dad has been such a good sport. It doesn't help that I'm just a wee-bit picky...I mean come on a girl has to have some standards right?? haha jk I know I'm going to get crap for saying that. I've been getting to know the ins and outs of an auction though and let me tell ya quite interesting. Thank goodness I have my dad to crack jokes with.
  • This past Friday we celebrated Joshie/Blades b-days....gosh I love those boys and they're getting so darn big. Joshie is just about my height now which is so not funny.
  • Saturday was the big Halloween/Ivy's party at Jeana and Brandon's house....it was such a blast!! I was a cavewoman and my little nephew Charlie Bug was a lil caveman...by far made my costume hehe (pics will be coming)
  • Saturday I also started a fitness "Adrenaline Junkie" class at the rehab center through work. I joined mainly because of Tracy, but I'm super excited to be doing it...I'm a bit sore, she did not go easy on us at all. I just smile thinking how happy I will be when I see results...we did everything from cardio, "steps", weights, and body sculpting. And believe it or not, getting up and working out Sat had given me so much energy that day. By noon I felt I'd accomplished so much!! Hopefully I can keep the energy and discipline and continue working out every morning although this loving Monday morning I failed.....but tomorrow is another day!
  • I got released yesterday from my awesome Activity Days calling and I'm quite sad about it. I love the girls and am going to miss having activities with them. They taught me so much, I had actually told Bishop I would do both callings if he didn't have another name (selfish I know) but they called someone yesterday and when I found out who, I got soooooo excited. Laura is going to do AWESOME!!! I suppose I'll let her have the blessings of that calling..hehe love you Laura!

Ok not much going on, but hey it's something. I wish I could post pics but I'll have to wait til I get home. Anyway thanks for joining me in the boredom fest :)

Love, Jen

I have been called...

....I have a new calling and let me tell you how utterly scared I am and how extremely humbled I am. I've been called as the 2nd counselor in the Relief Society of the Gresham Ward. I really don't think it has really hit me quite yet or fully sunk in, but I'm taking it day by day. I feel very blessed to have this opportunity even though I feel SUPER inadequate! When I was called as the RS President in the singles ward in Arizona I was shocked and scared (pretty much the exact same I am feeling now) and even tough I felt inadequate then I somehow knew it was right and I could relate to the sisters. Here it is ENTIRELY different, I am now in a family ward where I'm a single sister surrounded by much wiser (didn't really want to say older) ladies who I look up so much and who know so very much more than I do. What can I possibly bring to the table?? Yup this darn question that has been running through my mind for a weeks now and the only peace that comes to me is knowing the President, 1st Counselor, and Sec are AMAZING and will pick up my slack. All I know is that I will be spending more time on mmy knees because there is no way I can do this on my own. Apparently Heavenly Father has an awesome sense of humor and likes to see the deer in highlights look on my face :)
Love you all!!

Ethan & Kellie's Wedding

Yes I'm a pretty late, but I'm finally posting about Ethan & Kellie's wedding. It was Beautiful, I'm so happy for them and I was so happy to be able to be part of their day with them. Thursday night was the big Bachlorette Party, we went to Appleton out to eat then out on College Avenue. Dest had a game so it was Kellie, Jenn, Amanda and I. It was a fun night out with the girls, met some crazy interesting people, but its all good. Got home at 330 am and got up the next morning to help decorate for the reception. I was pretty darn tired but so worth it.
The ceremony was so beautiful, I really had a hard time getting through it. I'm so proud of T and Kellie is amazing. She fits right in and I just love her.

Fun morning at the Salon. BIG thanks to Jeana, she did my hair and did amazing! I felt so pretty!
Quick stop at Bad Habit before the reception.
Dest & I got to lace Kellie's dress up and oh my goodness. Her dress was so beautiful, but it took a little bit.
Jill & I after the ceremony. Polka was a big hit at the reception. And as embarrassing as this last pic is, I had to put this on. It was the grand march and we ran out dancing and apparently I'm quite talented cause I can make my body as a complete "S" hahaha

So I love these pictures!!! During the grand march, while dancing some how I didn't get my turn with T and he saw that and he switched once more cause he said he had to dance with me...I just love that kid. And I'm so glad that Pam or Michelle (not quite sure who) snapped a shot of us hugging.

And of course we had to have a sister's picture that night. I'm the luckiest girl in the world, I have the BEST family in the world. All in all the whole weekend was a blast, I was super tired and exhausted, but again so worth it all.

SKYDIVING!!!!

start your engines...

it's going to be long post...apparently I win the worst blogger award. Lots to catch up on so here I go...
First things first I promised more pictures from Utah, I don't have many but thanks to Jeana for the ones I do have.
Wish I had some of my Dallin Man and I but I guess he was just having too much fun to come by Auntie Jen haha
The trip was a blast and I would do the 24 hour car ride all over again in a heartbeat. BIG thanks to Jeana & Brandon for inviting me and allowing me to tag along on their family vacation.

Next up July 31st was the Packer 5K Run to kick off the Packers training season....I ran it with Jeana, Brandon & Jasmine. Wish Jill could have ran it with us, but she a volleyball tourney that day, thought of her the whole time!! It was a fun day...we got to run a lap around Lambeau Field....INCREDIBLE! They had cameras going and as you ran around you could find yourself on the big screen, talk about feeling smaller than an ant. I want to go to a Packer game now just for the experience. My goal for the race was to not stop running, and guess what?? I DID IT!! oh dang talk about being stinkin' proud of yourself. I may not be to the point of loving, heck not even liking, running, but man I LOVE the feeling I get afterwards. I loved being able to see Jas as she was on her way into the field and being able to cheer her on, I loved seeing the smiles on Jeana Jas and Burbs afterwards, I loved seeing the finish line after coming out of the field knowing that it was almost over. My time was about 32 min, wish I could break that 30 min mark, but hey I accomplished my goal.
It was raining that day a little bit and I didn't want to use my Ipod in the rain which worried me (I tend to get quite bored and need music to keep me going) All during the race I had to keep telling myself every time I wanted to walk..."You can do this, You can finish" Especially after coming out of the field and seeing that finish line....that got me thinking how this life is so much like a race! Everday I tell myself "You can do this, You can finsh" Hopefully one day I can cross that finish line with a big smile on my face and say "Yup I did!" Schertz Family Reunion 2010...my gosh I just love when I get together with my family. They are all loud and funny to boot and I feel so very blessed to have each and every one of them in my life. The whole day I just kept looking around and smiling thinking of my Grandpa & Grandma Schertz and how they would have loved to be here smiling and laughing right along with us, heck I'm sure they were looking down on us just laughing at all of us.
MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! 21 baby! The night before my birthday Jeana, Jas & I had a slumber party, ordered pizza and ate ice cream cake then rented a movie. Gotta love a good ol' slumber party! My present to myself was skydiving, yup that's right I went skydiving and I would do it again in a heartbeat! It was the most incredible feeling I have ever felt, I really felt like I was flying and I got to see for miles. I was beyond nervous all day long, and especially when I got there, but when we got in the plane I kept saying to myself, "the only way down is to jump..." Getting my instruction, my instructor and pilot were awesome!!
Jeana thought she was funny and wanted this picture just incase I didn't make it..aka...the last picture
My Mom, Dad, Jeana and Brandon came with me and I can't thank them enough! It meant so much to me to have them there cheering me on....So glad they were there with me!!!
Most "AMAZING" thing ever!!! (haha hope you like that Jeana) I guess I may have said amazing a million times that day and I was made fun of for it...just jealous I tell ya

You can tell I was a bit excited!
