what can I say?

well the wait is over...I DIDN'T get into my program for this fall :( I'm still on the waiting list and can petition again next feb. but there is no promise for next fall either! What can I say?? story of my life apparently...the kicker is that I could have been in my program right now in arizona, but I turned it down (Prayed about it and it didn't feel right, I need to be home now) I honestly can say that I have no plan, no idea, and scared out of my mind to the point it makes me cry. Options now include continuing with my "need to be a full-time student" degree (health care business) and hope and pray I get in next fall, just work for a year which equals being yet again kicked off my parents health insurance, or possibly a mission which I have always had on the back of my mind...........needless to say I have thinking to do! lovely!

School is kicking my trash...online=SO HARD!!!!!!! Most of my classes are awesome, just annoying really, but my Anatomy class...OH MY!!!! I have no idea what the heck I am reading when I study my book, complete different language to me and that is soooo bad, I kinda need to know this stuff I don't think any patient is going to appreciate me not knowing the different parts of the human body when I go to take an x-ray or whatever.... ARG!

Well on a positive note... SPRING IS HERE!!!! I LOVE it! I LOVE being home and I LOVE work!!! Everytime I get disacouraged or second guess my decision about giving up my pretty good social life out west, I just have to look around or the majority of the time get a smile from one the little kiddos I am home for :) Brookie, bless her heart, is getting baptized on April 9th and who does she ask to give a talk on the Holy Ghost?? Her big cry baby Auntie Jen! I'm so excited and so happy she thought of me and wanted me to talk! Any ideas for my talk will be greatly appreciated..thanks!
Playing outside...sun was out to play...so were we!

85 Days!!! Yes that's right, my countdown has begun to when I fly out to AZ!!! I'm so stinkin excited!

Lastly I just wanted to give a little shout out to my AWESOME Ma & Pa! Seriously, they allowed me move home and put up with me! They ROCK!! My Mom always seems to know exactly when to offer a smile or a hug that just makes everything better! She never fails to tell me I look pretty when I get ready every morning, even when come on we both know darn well I look like a walking zombie, but that just makes her GREAT! Cause on those crummy days when I not only look like a walking zombie but feel like it too, her smile and hearing her say "Oh you look so Pretty!" makes is alright and I can't help but feel good! Thanks MOM You'll never know how great you are!!!

catch up game...

Life has been crazy, school and work have taken over my life and not so happy about that. Work is going great and I LOVE it, I'm learning so much and just love the people I work with and all that. School... let's just say I say at the end of the day that I'm quiting! This semester is my first experience with online classes and for the most part they are not so bad...I'm learning and proving to myself that I can discipline myself and really learn on my own, however, oh my goodness!!!!! I will be the mayor of crazy town shortly!!!

Anyway, just finished some homework and need a break before starting more so I figure I would catch up. First of all in Feb, Jeana got tickets to Disney Princesses On-Ice in a drawing and she was soooo nice and invited me along...it was Jeana, Jill, Ivy and I. It was soooo FUN!!! Watching Ivy was the BEST! When Mickey and Minnie first came out, she got the biggest smile on and then burst into tears cause she couldn't go by them. She was in a trance the whole time, I had more fun watching her.
Mickey and Minnie came out...2 sec later...tears tears and more tears
Literally where she sat most of the show
Honestly sooo cute!

Needless to say, Disney Princess on-Ice was a complete success, so much that the second we walked outside, Ivy started crying cause she didn't want to leave. Broke my heart!

So one friday that I should have been studying and more studying, I ended up helping my dad up at the building, which made it a GREAT day. It's been awhile since I've been up there to help and I had such a good time, granted I was there an hour or so hahaha But I just love the time spent with my dad. I was getting dressed to go up and the rule of thumb is never wear any good clothes whatsoever, me being me asked dad, "Will I get full of grease?" Dad-"No unless you fall on the ground where there is grease" ....I now have 2 awesome grease spots on a good pair of jeans...my fault completely, NEVER NEVER wear good clothes!

My awesome grease stained shirt...
Booster Ball!!! Multiple nieces and a nephew in the games, it was so fun watching them play, got to cheer them on...made me one proud Auntie! (no pics of the actual games, bummed about that)

Snowboarding!!!!! After the booster game and Bug's b-day party, my dad, Jas and I went to Navarino Slopes. First time ever snowboarding for me and Jas. Dad skiied and hadn't in 30 years, but I totally think he lied, he only fell once whereas me and Jas were on the ground quite often! Among all the falling and funny funny scences...I was the only girl in the history of the world to actually get caught on the ski-lift and get flipped...yeah like I said the only girl in the history of the world. Let's state for the record that the ski-lift was almost scarier than the actual hill...no graceful way to get off no matter what, well one time I was trying my hardest not to fall like always and staying on the lift 2 seconds too long holding out my arms trying to get my balance, the seat whipped around to go back down and caught my arm right up....let's just say I was a little rag doll, luckily it wasn't as bad as it could've been, as much as it hurt and I have a nice bruise on my arm to prove it, but my ego was bruised as well, you see lots of people like to sit at the top and watch everyone get off the lift, yeah that's right, lots of people saw me :( I now know what NOT to do, get off that lift as soon as possible even if you fall, falling is much easier!
Yes this is how we spent most of the day...on the ground laughing at ourselves hahaha We weren't complete failures and yes we did make it down the hill a few times

And lastly, another temple trip...it was Taylor's first time and I was so excited to be there with her!!! We went to Mall of America Friday night and had a blast and the Temple was amazing as always! (I don't have pics yet, but will post them later)

Well that's about it, my few exciting things that have happened other than homework homework and more homework and work

Go Gutsy!

Jill and I went to Neenah to the Singles Ward again today and let me tell you, I am soooo glad we did! Every lesson and talk was so good and exactly what I needed to hear! In sacrament, all the talks were on missionary work and they were just amazing!

Well the new Sister Missionary talked first and her talk was amazing! She talked about being missionaries in our everyday lives, talking with co-workers, friends, etc... As I sat there I kept thinking..."ok I can do that, but how do I start it??" I work at the hospital and at corner bar, I know that there are many opportunities, but I just need to get the courage to say something. What hit me the most in her talk was her story at the end and challenge. Her niece was learning to ride a bike and had training wheels that were unsteady and she was scared, but she was learning. Well when she would ride the sidewalk, she would always ride up to a dip in the walk and then would slam on the breaks, for weeks she would not go through the dip...she was scared of falling and getting hurt. Well finally one day she was headed for that dip and her mom yells to her.."Go Gusty!!!!" And she did! She rode through the dip and made it to the corner!

The Challenge: GO GUTSY!!!! Go for it! I just love it, and I hope that I can do it!

New Year, New Goals...

new years resolutions!!!! i made more goals than actual resolutions:
  • get straight A's this semester (having a semester off has made me lazy and i'm nervous to start again, but i'm bound and determined to get back in the grind and kick schools butt)
  • be better at writing in my journal (i'm terrible)
  • be better at daily prayer and scripture reading (always need for improvment!)
  • learn more & cook more
  • save $$$$ and budget better
  • be a more friendly person and a better person all together
  • ultimately be happy

these are just a few, but i do hope to accomplish lots :) with the decision to stay home and go to school here, i'm sacrificing a lot and unfortunatly i have second guessed my decision many times...don't get me wrong, i LOVE being home and with my family, this is HOME! having no social life is making me sad though, i miss my friends in arizona and i do worry about being here with few people my age with my standards, but i remind myself that i did pray about this decision and know that right now i need to be home. i am also quickly reminded with just a smile from one of the 14 little kiddos that i love dearly!!! with that i hope the new year brings new challenges, new experiences, and HAPPY HAPPY days.

Bring on 2010...Happy New Year

Christmas 2009

I love this Holiday!!!! I had a White Christmas again, and honestly its not Christmas any other way :) One bad thing is that we really didn't take family pics like we usually do, oh well next year right??
Well we did our usual, Christmas Eve everyone came over and we played the gift game that my mom just loves...she buys the same number gifts as people and we all pick a number, #1 goes first (which is the worst!) picks a gift, #2 goes then and either can steal #1 gift or pick their own and so on...it really gets interesting, this year my present that I picked was a bunch of 2 dollars bills, and anyone who knows my brother Jake knows that he is a BIG fan of those, and just my luck he was after me so you guessed it, he stole them so fast haha and my next present I picked was McDonald's coupons, I don't like McDonalds...yuck! so my dad got them, so needless so say I got ripped off haha the worst part was that I was with my Mom when she bought most of the gifts and I knew what I wanted... it sure is fun though. The Kids got to play pass-the-parsel...

At the end, all the kids got something...the boys got their own truck and the girls all got lip gloss hehe everyone was in their glory!!
We sang Christmas songs, played Murder, talked, ate, laughed a lot and ate some more. It was a fun night with everyone :)
Me and my sister while watching the kids play pass-the-parsel :)
Dad got his jacket that he wanted!!! I have the BEST Dad!!!
Opening Presents...all so very happy!!
