I did it...

June 12, 2010....Bellin Run

That's right, my first 10K and let me tell ya...I LOVED it! Jeana had an amazing post on the Bellin, and she nailed it on the head...she said she may be addicted now and oh my goodness I never thought I would be, but I am! Now let's get this straight, I'm not to the point where I LOVE running, but I LOVE the energy and the feeling I get afterwards, especially crossing the finish line...seriously it's a high like no other. Thanks Jilly Bean for getting me addicted!
Jilly, Jeana, Lisa, and I went to Green Bay Friday night and ate at the spagetti dinner and walked around the park, anticipation starting building in my stomach... We then went to the hotel and sat in the hot tub...need I say more...perfect night right?? Just us girls chilling and laughing quite a bit...I really wish Jas could've been there, but she was in Utah. To no surprise, I could'nt sleep, I love hotels, but can never sleep and I think I was way too anxious! Morning came and we started the morning drill, again anticipation building....

We were wave 5 and had to wait about a half hour to begin, walking up to the start line was incredible, I felt like a kid right before opening christmas presents...I just wanted to go!! And we were off! Jill of course shot ahead of us (She's a pro!) Jeana and I ran the race together and for that I was so happy! I did walk a little, but am pretty proud of myself, I finished! Heck that was a goal haha My official time was 1:18...next year I want better! Mile 4-6 were my hardest, I wanted to die and the sidewalk was looking better and better with each step, but I pushed myself no help to the charlie-horse in my big toe or the cramp in my left foot....and like I said before crossing that finish line was GREAT! Granted the last 1.2 miles, there are people lining the side of the road...of course I couldn't stop running infront of them, that pushed me also hahaha And I do believe I jumped up in the air after finishing, yes that crazy girl at the end was me and I'm proud of that :)
I regreted it for a day or two afterwards, but I loved every minute of it! Thanks Sisters and Lisa for such a fun time, many jokes and laughs were had and I look forward to next year...also the next race hehe that's right...we are signed up for the Packer Run July 31st. Love you Sisters!! You're my Rock!

Ok I just had to share these pics....I seriously have the MOST
BEAUTIFUL,
FUNNIEST, SMARTEST, BESTEST sisters in the world!!!!

Human Nature???

Today I was thrown back into reality big time, Arizona was a BLAST!! (Posts for that coming soon) However, Monday morning...UGH enough said right??? Well first thing this morning, we had miscommnuication and mis understanding of the schedule, let me tell you it's been a morning.

Well the head of RT came down and we were trying to figure out how in the world we all missed this and kind of laughing at our morning thus far. He asked me about doing vitals, and I said I didn't know how and he asked if I was a CNA/MA and my reply came quick..."No I'm nothing" I didn't think anything of it, but he just laughed and said..."That it about the most comfident thing I ever heard you say" Now that got me thinking...Ironically I am reading Dieter F. Uchtfork's book The Remarkable Soul of a Woman...of course I am something, but it's human nature to point out and be most confident about our flaws...why is that?? I'm sure our Father in Heaven is sad when we do this and his heart aches as we, his creation and children, put ourselves down and think less than what we are!

So after thinking about this for awhile now and feeling bad that I thought so negative ( Yes I've been on a kick about staying positve..it's an experiment let's say) I've decided to say what I am to prove my pervious statment wrong!!!

I am...
a daughter
a sister
an aunt
a cousin
a friend
a student
a daughter of my Heavenly Father
I am Something
I challenge you...well those of you that are nice enough to read my blog :) to do the same....what are you?? Make a list and believe it!
Love you!

Things I couldn't live without...

Jeana did this post awhile ago and she just wrote on my facebook asking me to update my blog...just for you Jean!!

When I think of things that I couldn't live without, alot of things comes to mind...(don't judge me I know I am spoiled)
First thing that comes to mind is my Family all the way!!! In all honesty they are the primary reason I moved home and decided to go to school here...I gave up my social wonderful life in AZ so I could be home with my famiy and be able to be there for them whenever I can!
I agree with Jeana on her post when she mentioned her straightener..oh my goodness I would die withouut it. Thanks to my family genes I have massive frizzy curly wavy hair...and let's say its just cute (or my own words and Ivy's...TUTE) So thank you straightener for taming my uncontrolable hair and thanks to on the days that I don't wake up early enough to do it or have the energy to do it (Which are A LOT!!) my diffuser!!! Again such a lifesaver!!!
I'm also with Jeana on MAC compact...she got me hooked!! It's AMAZING.....expensive but seriously is lasts so dang long!!!! No lie I ordered my first one with Jeana back in September I think and guess what?? It's still going strong! It's just barely showing the bottom...LOVE LOVE LOVE

Growing up I was known as the BAG LADY!!! Yes I am proud of that and honestly I have tons and want more actually, I just love purses!!

3 Cheers to my Ipod!!! and now to my wonderful most wonderful portable speakers....I trained for the front desk at the hospital and this past week I filled in and the girl that trained me had them and said it was really nice to have soft music going while you work...well thursday I didn't have them yet and let me tell ya it was a long day...but friday oh friday!! seriously it kept me from going insane for sure!

Yes I am a phone junkie...it's my life line!!! I honestly would be lost without it and am soooo grateful I have it!! When I was in AZ it was my life line to my family, and now that I'm home its my life line to my friends in AZ!!! Not a day goes by without a call made or a text sent/recieved....somedays maybe too many...ok thats crazy of course there can never be too many haha

Ok I guess I will give a little shout out my friends too..they're kinda GREAT!!! I have the BEST friends in the whole wide world!!
So there are a few things that I couldn't live without...well besides my family and friends I could live without all of those things, but why should I when I can have them :)
LOVE YOU!!! (happy Jeana??)

Dance as if no one is watching...

2010 Dance Recital, I'm finally home for a recital and I'm so excited and it was my first BCFD Shawano Recital that I sat in the audience and wasn't backstage. Let me tell ya, I'm not loving sitting in the audience...I sure miss dance I miss being backstage I miss the excitement and rush right before you go on stage I miss the flood of nervousness when the lights first come on and you forget the first step I miss the sense of success after the dance and hear the audience applause. I just MISS it all!!!! I'm so proud of all the dancers, I admit a few times I had a hint of tears as I watched my nieces and sister dance. They did soooooo good! So here is a HUGE shout out to Kenzie, Brookie, Kennedy, Fiona, Jasmine, Whitters, Rissa Babe, Dest, and every single dancer that danced their hearts saturday!!! Good Job!
i didn't get a picture with Jas and I'm super sad about that. Another shout out to Jas who had State Solo Ensemble for Piano that morning before Recital and took a 2nd!!!!! WOOHOO!!! So proud of ya sista and soooo happy that I was able to be there for ya!!!! LOVE YA!

like a child...

this is an old story already, but i was thinking about it today and i couldn't help but share... awhile back i was watching porter and gryffin- my 2 boys who are adorable, little mischief makers, honest, loving, imaginative, etc...

Well in my defense of part of this story (please don't judge me) it was early in the morning and by that i mean it was before 10 am and I had not taken a shower yet that day and i was getting over a cold, which hit me with a vengence. so my babysitting included laying on the couch and getting up only when the boys asked for something (don't worry they didn't get hurt and i totally told becky this so i'm not a bad babysitter, just not an enthusiastic one)

well throughout the morning we were watching many cartoons and the boys were busy playing toys and trucks, every once in awhile they would climb up on my lab and snuggle-my VERY favorite! now this is where you don't judge me...on different occasians both boys were on my lap and after a few minutes they would look at me and tell me I stink and they would get off hahahaha i couldn't help but laugh, while i cringe also! in gryffin words..."you stink, i can't sit by you anymore"
yet again both boys on separate occasians told me they loved me out of the blue....that i LOVED!!! now that is something that i live for, so i guess i'm one LUCKY AUNTIE....my little nephews love me even though i stink
i wish to be like a child....loving those inspite of their flaws.

what can I say?

well the wait is over...I DIDN'T get into my program for this fall :( I'm still on the waiting list and can petition again next feb. but there is no promise for next fall either! What can I say?? story of my life apparently...the kicker is that I could have been in my program right now in arizona, but I turned it down (Prayed about it and it didn't feel right, I need to be home now) I honestly can say that I have no plan, no idea, and scared out of my mind to the point it makes me cry. Options now include continuing with my "need to be a full-time student" degree (health care business) and hope and pray I get in next fall, just work for a year which equals being yet again kicked off my parents health insurance, or possibly a mission which I have always had on the back of my mind...........needless to say I have thinking to do! lovely!

School is kicking my trash...online=SO HARD!!!!!!! Most of my classes are awesome, just annoying really, but my Anatomy class...OH MY!!!! I have no idea what the heck I am reading when I study my book, complete different language to me and that is soooo bad, I kinda need to know this stuff I don't think any patient is going to appreciate me not knowing the different parts of the human body when I go to take an x-ray or whatever.... ARG!

Well on a positive note... SPRING IS HERE!!!! I LOVE it! I LOVE being home and I LOVE work!!! Everytime I get disacouraged or second guess my decision about giving up my pretty good social life out west, I just have to look around or the majority of the time get a smile from one the little kiddos I am home for :) Brookie, bless her heart, is getting baptized on April 9th and who does she ask to give a talk on the Holy Ghost?? Her big cry baby Auntie Jen! I'm so excited and so happy she thought of me and wanted me to talk! Any ideas for my talk will be greatly appreciated..thanks!
Playing outside...sun was out to play...so were we!

85 Days!!! Yes that's right, my countdown has begun to when I fly out to AZ!!! I'm so stinkin excited!

Lastly I just wanted to give a little shout out to my AWESOME Ma & Pa! Seriously, they allowed me move home and put up with me! They ROCK!! My Mom always seems to know exactly when to offer a smile or a hug that just makes everything better! She never fails to tell me I look pretty when I get ready every morning, even when come on we both know darn well I look like a walking zombie, but that just makes her GREAT! Cause on those crummy days when I not only look like a walking zombie but feel like it too, her smile and hearing her say "Oh you look so Pretty!" makes is alright and I can't help but feel good! Thanks MOM You'll never know how great you are!!!
