Jenni-TA

I was lucky enough to travel to Utah with Jeana & Brandon for a week, and by lucky enough I mean I got to help drive the 24 hours straight through while being in a van with 3 little kids hearing numerous..."Mommy mommy mommy mommy....daddy daddy daddy...." and so on. The whole idea sounded great, but when we actually got in the van I questioned my very state of mind! haha in all honesty the kids did really good, considering they were strapped in carseats...I would totally go crazy if I had to do that. We left sunday afternoon and got there monday afternoon all feeling and smelling I might add pretty gross. I swear that's the worse part of traveling. All during the drive we kept asking the kids..."Where are we going??" The Happy reply was "UTAH!" but from Dallin Man we got "Dallin-TA" apparently saying Utah means putting your own name in front hahaha sooo cute!!! So Yes we went to Jenni-TA!!
I forgot how much I love Utah and how pretty it is out there, I had a BLAST!!!! I stayed with my good friend Amy in Provo from Monday night to Thursday morning and let me tell ya soooooo much fun!! I was able to go on 2 dates...yes crazy I know considering I'm not a fan of dating and that I really haven't dated in over a year hahaha but I had the BEST time....I went hiking on one date and boating the other....besides having 2 major blisters from hiking and making a fool out of myself trying to wakeskate it was a good time!! I needed some fun times, I needed to be reminded that dating is actually a good thing and can be fun!

Thursday Jeana and Brandon's sister Natalie picked me up and we had a shopping day....again sooooo fun!! hahaha how could it not right?? I spent the rest of the week with Jeana and Brandon and his family, although Friday I got to spend the day with my friend Joe from EAC who I haven't seen since graduation last year. We played laser tag, had lunch, sculpted ice cream, walked by Provo Temple, and went to see "How to train your dragon"
Saturday we went Mt. Timp cave, well not the cave but at the bottom and had lunch with all the kids and Ryan & Natalie's family....we played by the river and just had a good time, after we went to Neal and Stacy's house for the 24th party...again so fun to see people. That night the boys lit off fireworks and guess what?? I fired the potato gun...oh my lanta was that fun! First Brandon held it while I lit the spark, I guess he didn't trust me all that much haha don't blame him. But Jeana fired it by herself and I just got jealous, so I wanted to do it too!!!
Sunday we took off...yes the dreadful trip back home, actually I wanted to kick and scream about getting back in the car, but being 20 I figured I needed to set a good example to the kids haha
The kids did awesome the way home, only a few meltdowns. I have grown to depise Wyoming and Nebraska!!! And I no longer eat McDonalds....in Wyoming we stopped to eat and I totally think it was punishment for buying on Sunday. The McD's was dirty and disgusting and left all of us sick. Yup after that I was soo happy to get home...happy to have my own shower and own bed.
Once I get more pics from Jeana I'll post them :) LOVE YOU ALL!!!

AZ Trip....ahhh my second home

The time FINALLY came and I went on my trip to Arizona, I had bought my ticket back in the winter and have waiting patiently (well maybe not all patiently) for it to come!! Of course like all fun, anticiapted trips, it went by all too fast, but I had a BLAST!! A whole 10 days of heaven in my opinion...I got to see lots of old friends and loved ones! I even got to see a ton of people who I was not expecting to see, which was fantastic! Poor Dee, she was literally my ride everywhere and we were never apart, I think she was sooo ready to send me on that plane...but she rocks and I love her to pieces!
I flew in June 17 around 10 or so in the morning, thanks to my flight being changed, I didn't mind at all it got me there sooner! We had lunch with a couple of the girls, Lyn Lyn and Jess! Lots of laughing and catching up,,,oh I love it! We then ventured the 2 1/2 hour drive to Pima, I have been looking forward to going to the Gila Valley Temple for months now and I was going that night! We went and did baptisms with our friend Cade...Thanks so much Cade for baptizing us! It was so fun to do that with one of your best friends! Funny story actually, I had the HARDEST time during the baptisms, Cade can vouch on this, for some reason (I'm blaming the long day traveling and the time change) I could not bend my knees enough to get under..poor Cade! Cade and the Temple workers kept telling me..Sister you have to bend your knees....I was I promise!! haha after about 10 names I got my groove and finished up okay but man that was hard...but I loved every minute of it!
We got home and realized that Dee and I had forgotten our nice white underwear in the Temple..oh it gets better, Dee's grandma was working that night and so the worker found her and told her! How emabarrassing haha we got a good laugh out of it and yes we did go claim them before leaving..oh my lanta! We walk in and I was expecting Dee would listen to her Grandma and just ask to see their lost and found, nope!! Infront of the 4, YES 4, workers perceeded to say, "We left our underwear here last week, can we see your lost and found" Now picture me standing behind her my head bent in my hands shaking my head, we gave the Temple workers a good laugh that day too! Oh the life!
I got to stay with Dee and her family in Pima until Tuesday morning and oh what fun we had! Our time included...a motorcycle ride, Fry Mesa trip on Rangers, lots of Mexican food, Lake trip, visiting a friend who just had a baby (who is adorable!), visiting lots of people, and lots and lots of laughs!!!!
So Fry Mesa trip! The boys wanted to crawdad fish...DUMB DUMB DUMB! I'm never in favor of this and therefore sit there! Us girls did climb down the dam by the waterfall which was so pretty! But funny story, I thought we were taking trucks up so I didn't bother changing out of my very cute outfit, nope we decided at the last minute to take Rangers, yup I was covered in brown from head to toe! On the way up I sat on the edge and the driver and put us in a few bushes...boys.... so on the way back my friend Evan suggested I sit in the middle between Cade and him...such a good boy. We're on our way down and I'm just enjoying the ride, its getting dark and all of a sudden I saw a shadow hit the ranger and then something hit me! Yes you guessed it, I freaked out! I heard Dee and Evan yell, "I have feathers in my mouth!" ok I now know that a bird had just hit me, so much for being protected in the middle right? After my freak out, Cade said lean forward cause I didn't know where it went...come to find out the bird..night hawk to be exact, had hit me and fallen behind and slid in the sit and yes I was sitting on it!!! I about broke the seatbelt getting out and jumped right on my friend Evan's lap (poor guy) The bird was dead and so the first statement was "Jenni's butt killed the bird!" and so that was the joke the whole time! "Don't let Jenni sit on you...she'll kill you!" I have the greatest friends don't I??
Well tuesday we headed to Tucson, we had a double-date to the Gas-light Theatre which is AMAZING! A live play and inprov play with about 10 cast members that we get to boo and cheer, its funny! Wednesday we headed to Mesa to stay with our friend Jess! We did a lot of nothing, but we were busy haha don't know how that works, we shopped (of course), slept in, watched movies, hung out with friends and of course laughed a ton! Lots of girl time! I got to meet up with Albert and Bryany and their family for dinner friday night which was perfect!! Albert flew out Sunday for San Diego, he's off on another tour in the Middle East, They are ROCKSTARS!! It was so fun to catch up and hang out! Emily and Jason got married Sat and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I almost cried when I saw Em and it was so fun to see two great friends get married after a few years! I was there when they started dating and got to see them grow together!!
Sunday came all too soon and the time came for me to board the plane....I did miss my family and my bed and my own shower, but I didn't want to leave. It was great to be back and experience my fun life again!
Thanks to everyone who either let me stay with them or took time out of their busy lives to make my trip extra special!!
