Valentine's Day!

Now I am not a girl who likes Valentine's Day all that much. I thinks it's very cheesy and kinda dumb, but I do love getting my card from my dad! I look forward to that all year because I know that my dad takes his time looking and reading all the cards and picks one out that fits me and I love that! Well this year was a little better, I got my card from my dad, but something else too!
Thursday I see my friend Dee after class so I go to talk to her and this is what she asks..."So there is no secret to ask this so I'm just gonna ask. Do you have a spare key to your car??" I said yeah and all she tells me is that she needs it because soomeone wants to put something in my car on friday! Now anyone who knows me knows that I'm not the biggest fan of surprises...I hate not knowing things. I tried the whole..Dee you're my friend and you should tell me who it is...but that was shot down so fast. She told me that I needed some surprise in my life. She did at least give me some clues so I kinda knew who it was.
Well friday came and Dee got my car key before my classes, very reluctantly from me might I add, and when I walked out to my car at noon I came to find this!

My friend did this and I just love him for it. He also took me out to dinner and a movie sat night for valentine's day. How sweet is that? After this week he is definatly one of my favorite people.

Am I taking it for Granted?

Today during testimony meeting, one of my friends from the colonies got up and bore her testimony...little background info...She is a non-member, she wants so badly to be baptized but her parents will definatly write her off if she does and that includes taking her student visa away so she would have to go back to Mexico. I look up to this woman so much, when I first met her she was just so friendly and we were friends instantly! Well she got up and started talking about how she loves the Gospel and everything...one thing that definatly stood out for me...she said for you who are baptized go to church and those of you who can go to the temple..GO! That hit me like a ton of bricks...Do we begin to take for granted the blessings that we have as members of the church? Here's a woman who wants to be baptzied and go to the temple and feel that spirit, but she can't at this time in her life...and here we are, members of the church and how often do we go to the Temple? And I am guilty of this, I need to go and do what I can and take advantage of this blessing that I have.

Towards the end of her testimony my friend did say that one day she will be married in the temple and I just smiled! I don't think there was a dry eye in the chapel...it was definatly one of the best testimony meetings I have been to. I truly love this Gospel and I know that it is true! I am so grateful for Temples and the opportunity that I have to go and do what I can and I know that I need to go more often. It was defiantly a great Sunday!
