Fun week with Dee

After our road trip, Dee stayed a week with my family. I did my best to show what Wisconsin really is about and I think I did a pretty good job being that she wants to come back :) We went to eat at John's (my fav!!) we went 4-wheeling in the woods, went to the Rcaes, went shopping in green bay, went to see ski sharks, hung around the house and had TONS of fun!!! At the races..for once of me and Dee knowing eachother, she was the one who was cold...usually its me, but not tonight. Also she always thought racing was a boring sport, but by the end of the night she liked it more..nothing beats Shawano Speedway!!We had a girls night at the ski sharks and after we went and had DQ..it was a fun night!!
Having fun on the 4-wheeler throught the woods

Road Trip...oh yes we did!!

Before we left...us at 5am...haha

Yes I am home...and I know I know this is way passed due. July 6th Dee and I left good ol' Thatcher, Arizona and traveled to even better Gresham, Wisconsin. Monday we drove 15+ hours to Wichita, Kansas...the driving all day was not the best but actually wasn't as bad as I was expecting. We left at 5am and got to Wichita at about 11pm....we got to see a couple pretty cool little sites on our way.

Power naps all the way I think it was in the middle of Texas, we passed this HUGE farm...

DEE: What do they farm?

Me: Cows, apparently...

ok so Dee and I thought we were pretty funny and so we were laughing at ourselves of course then all of a sudden came the deadly smell and by all means this is no dramatic telling....hahaha so this is Dee trying not to puke as she drove..it was pretty darn nasty...

So along the way we would tell Jeana what towns we were going through and she would go online and look up little sites we could see....exhibit A-Hooker, Oklahoma and their baseball team...no joke and can I please say that this just might one of the best things in the world. hahahaha (Thanks so much Jeana..you gave us a good laugh)
Yes we did get to visit Dorothy's house in Kansas, we did it for my Mom but it was pretty cool. There's no place like home...

Tuesday we drove to Lee Summit, Missouri to visit Nick and Ro...that included having lunch, visiting Liberty Jail, Independence Visitor's Center, the RLDS Temple, and when Nick got off work we went to dinner. It was so good to see them and hang out with them for awhile. We then drove over to St. Louis to see the Arch, we were late to go up in the Arch, but it was sooo cool to be there and walk around. After that we finished the day by driving to Nauvoo to our hotel. it was about 1am by the time we got to hotel and we were both pretty tired, so needless to say we both crashed that night.

Liberty Jail, it was so neat to be there and feel the Spirit
Independence Visitor's Center
It was getting late so the pictures were not the greatest, but it so cool to watch around under the Arch

**Special Thanks to Ro for spending a few hours with us and driving us to the sites, it was so good to visit with you and Nick. Miss you guys :)

Wednesday we had the amazing opportunity to spend the day in Nauvoo. We went to Carthage Jail and visited the sites in Nauvoo. We were able to go to Nauvoo Temple and see the new pageant, which is amazing and so so good. I love Nauvoo, there is a spirit there that can not be described. I would back in a heartbeat over and over again.

Thursday we finished our trip, we drove in the driveway at about 5 in the afternoon. It was definitely such a fun trip, Thanks so much Dee for coming with me and helping me, it was such a blast. It is definitely good to be home too, Right now I'm just chilling with the family and job hunting...FYI job hunting sucks, but hopefully something comes up soon. Dee & I are already planning our next road trip hahaha it was sooooo fun!!
