start your engines...
it's going to be long post...apparently I win the worst blogger award. Lots to catch up on so here I go...
First things first I promised more pictures from Utah, I don't have many but thanks to Jeana for the ones I do have.
Wish I had some of my Dallin Man and I but I guess he was just having too much fun to come by Auntie Jen haha
Next up July 31st was the Packer 5K Run to kick off the Packers training season....I ran it with Jeana, Brandon & Jasmine. Wish Jill could have ran it with us, but she a volleyball tourney that day, thought of her the whole time!! It was a fun day...we got to run a lap around Lambeau Field....INCREDIBLE! They had cameras going and as you ran around you could find yourself on the big screen, talk about feeling smaller than an ant. I want to go to a Packer game now just for the experience.
My goal for the race was to not stop running, and guess what?? I DID IT!! oh dang talk about being stinkin' proud of yourself. I may not be to the point of loving, heck not even liking, running, but man I LOVE the feeling I get afterwards. I loved being able to see Jas as she was on her way into the field and being able to cheer her on, I loved seeing the smiles on Jeana Jas and Burbs afterwards, I loved seeing the finish line after coming out of the field knowing that it was almost over. My time was about 32 min, wish I could break that 30 min mark, but hey I accomplished my goal. .JPG)
It was raining that day a little bit and I didn't want to use my Ipod in the rain which worried me (I tend to get quite bored and need music to keep me going) All during the race I had to keep telling myself every time I wanted to walk..."You can do this, You can finish" Especially after coming out of the field and seeing that finish line....that got me thinking how this life is so much like a race! Everday I tell myself "You can do this, You can finsh" Hopefully one day I can cross that finish line with a big smile on my face and say "Yup I did!"
Schertz Family Reunion 2010...my gosh I just love when I get together with my family. They are
all loud and funny to boot and I feel so very blessed to have each and every one of them in my life. The whole day I just kept looking around
and smiling thinking of my Grandpa & Grandma Schertz and how they would have loved to be here smiling and laughing right along with us, heck I'm sure they were looking down on us just laughing at all of us.
MY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! 21 baby! The night before my birthday Jeana, Jas & I had a slumber party, ordered pizza and ate ice cream cake then rented a movie. Gotta love a good ol' slumber party! My present to myself was skydiving, yup that's right I went skydiving and I would do it again in a heartbeat! It was the most incredible feeling I have ever felt, I really felt like I was flying and I got to see for miles. I was beyond nervous all day long, and especially when I got there, but when we got in the plane I kept saying to myself, "the only way down is to jump..."
Getting my instruction, my instructor and pilot were awesome!!
Jeana thought she was funny and wanted this picture just incase I didn't make it..aka...the last picture
My Mom, Dad, Jeana and Brandon came with me and I can't thank them enough! It meant so much to me to have them there cheering me on....So glad they were there with me!!!
Most "AMAZING" thing ever!!! (haha hope you like that Jeana) I guess I may have said amazing a million times that day and I was made fun of for it...just jealous I tell ya
You can tell I was a bit excited!

The trip was a blast and I would do the 24 hour car ride all over again in a heartbeat. BIG thanks to Jeana & Brandon for inviting me and allowing me to tag along on their family
vacation.

Jenni-TA
I was lucky enough to travel to Utah with Jeana & Brandon for a week, and by lucky enough I mean I got to help drive the 24 hours straight through while being in a van with 3 little kids hearing numerous..."Mommy mommy mommy mommy....daddy daddy daddy...." and so on. The whole idea sounded great, but when we actually got in the van I questioned my very state of mind! haha in all honesty the kids did really good, considering they were strapped in carseats...I would totally go crazy if I had to do that. We left sunday afternoon and got there monday afternoon all feeling and smelling I might add pretty gross. I swear that's the worse part of traveling. All during the drive we kept asking the kids..."Where are we going??" The Happy reply was "UTAH!" but from Dallin Man we got "Dallin-TA" apparently saying Utah means putting your own name in front hahaha sooo cute!!! So Yes we went to Jenni-TA!!
I forgot how much I love Utah and how pretty it is out there, I had a BLAST!!!! I stayed with my good friend Amy in Provo from Monday night to Thursday morning and let me tell ya soooooo much fun!!
I was able to go on 2 dates...yes crazy I know considering I'm not a fan of dating and that I really haven't dated in over a year hahaha but I had the BEST time....I went hiking on one date and boating the other....besides having 2 major blisters from hiking and making a fool out of myself trying to wakeskate it was a good time!! I needed some fun times, I needed to be reminded that dating is actually a good thing and can be fun!

I needed some fun times, I needed to be reminded that dating is actually a good thing and can be fun!Thursday Jeana and Brandon's sister Natalie picked me up and we had a shopping day....again sooooo fun!! hahaha how could it not right?? I spent the rest of the week with Jeana and Brandon and his family, although Friday I got to spend the day with my friend Joe from EAC who I haven't seen since graduation last year. We played laser tag, had lunch, sculpted ice cream, walked by Provo Temple, and went to see "How to train your dragon"

Saturday we went Mt. Timp cave, well not the cave but at the bottom and had lunch with all the kids and Ryan & Natalie's family....we played by the river and just had a good time, after we went to Neal and Stacy's house for the 24th party...again so fun to see people. That night the boys lit off fireworks and guess what?? I fired the potato gun...oh my lanta was that fun! First Brandon held it while I lit the spark, I guess he didn't trust me all that much haha don't blame him. But Jeana fired it by herself and I just got jealous, so I wanted to do it too!!!
Sunday we took off...yes the dreadful trip back home, actually I wanted to kick and scream about getting back in the car, but being 20 I figured I needed to set a good example to the kids haha
The kids did awesome the way home, only a few meltdowns. I have grown to depise Wyoming and Nebraska!!! And I no longer eat McDonalds....in Wyoming we stopped to eat and I totally think it was punishment for buying on Sunday. The McD's was dirty and disgusting and left all of us sick. Yup after that I was soo happy to get home...happy to have my own shower and own bed.
Once I get more pics from Jeana I'll post them :) LOVE YOU ALL!!!

AZ Trip....ahhh my second home
The time FINALLY came and I went on my trip to Arizona, I had bought my ticket back in the winter and have waiting patiently (well maybe not all patiently) for it to come!! Of course like all fun, anticiapted trips, it went by all too fast, but I had a BLAST!! A whole 10 days of heaven in my opinion...I got to see lots of old friends and loved ones! I even got to see a ton of people who I was not expecting to see, which was fantastic! Poor Dee, she was literally my ride everywhere and we were never apart, I think she was sooo ready to send me on that plane...but she rocks and I love her to pieces!
Well tuesday we headed to Tucson, we had a double-date to the Gas-light Theatre which is AMAZING! A live play and inprov play with about 10 cast members that we get to boo and cheer, its funny! Wednesday we headed to Mesa to stay with our friend Jess! We did a lot of nothing, but we were busy haha don't know how that works, we shopped (of course), slept in, watched movies, hung out with friends and of course laughed a ton! Lots of girl time! I got to meet up with Albert and Bryany and their family for dinner friday night which was perfect!! Albert flew out Sunday for San Diego, he's off on another tour in the Middle East, They are ROCKSTARS!!
It was so fun to catch up and hang out! Emily and Jason got married Sat and it was BEAUTIFUL!! I almost cried when I saw Em and it was so fun to see two great friends get married after a few years! I was there when they started dating and got to see them grow together!!
Sunday came all too soon and the time came for me to board the plane....I did miss my family and my bed and my own shower, but I didn't want to leave. It was great to be back and experience my fun life again!
Thanks to everyone who either let me stay with them or took time out of their busy lives to make my trip extra special!!
I flew in June 17 around 10 or so in the morning, thanks to my flight being changed, I didn't mind at all it got me there sooner! We had lunch with a couple of the girls, Lyn Lyn and Jess!
Lots of laughing and catching up,,,oh I love it! We then ventured the 2 1/2 hour drive to Pima, I have been looking forward to going to the Gila Valley Temple for months now and I was going that night! We went and did baptisms with our friend Cade...Thanks so much Cade for baptizing us! It was so fun to do that with one of your best friends! Funny story actually, I had the HARDEST time during the baptisms, Cade can vouch on this, for some reason (I'm blaming the long day traveling and the time change) I could not bend my knees enough to get under..poor Cade! Cade and the Temple workers kept telling me..Sister you have to bend your knees....I was I promise!! haha after about 10 names I got my groove and finished up okay but man that was hard...but I loved every minute of it!

We got home and realized that Dee and I had forgotten our nice white underwear in the Temple..oh it gets better, Dee's grandma was working that night and so the worker found her and told her! How emabarrassing haha we got a good laugh out of it and yes we did go claim them before leaving..oh my lanta! We walk in and I was expecting Dee would listen to her Grandma and just ask to see their lost and found, nope!! Infront of the 4, YES 4, workers perceeded to say, "We left our underwear here last week, can we see your lost and found" Now picture me standing behind her my head bent in my hands shaking my head, we gave the Temple workers a good laugh that day too! Oh the life!
I got to stay with Dee and her family in Pima until Tuesday morning and oh what fun we had! Our time included...a motorcycle ride, Fry Mesa trip on Rangers, lots of Mexican food, Lake trip,
visiting a friend who just had a baby (who is adorable!), visiting
lots of people, and lots and lots of laughs!!!!
visiting a friend who just had a baby (who is adorable!), visiting
lots of people, and lots and lots of laughs!!!! So Fry Mesa trip! The boys wanted to crawdad fish...DUMB DUMB DUMB! I'm never in favor of this and therefore sit there! Us girls did climb down the dam by the waterfall which was so pretty! But funny story, I thought we were taking trucks up so I didn't bother changing out of my very cute outfit, nope we decided at the last minute to take Rangers, yup I was covered in brown from head to toe! On the way up I sat on the edge and the driver and put us in a few bushes...boys.... so on the way back my friend Evan suggested I sit in the middle between Cade and him...such a good boy. We're on our way down and I'm just enjoying the ride, its getting dark and all of a sudden I saw a shadow hit the ranger and then something hit me! Yes you guessed it, I freaked out! I heard Dee and Evan yell, "I have feathers in my mouth!" ok I now know that a bird had just hit me, so much for being protected in the middle right? After my freak out, Cade said lean forward cause I didn't know where it went...come to find out the bird..night hawk to be exact, had hit me and fallen behind and slid in the sit and yes I was sitting on it!!! I about broke the seatbelt getting out and jumped right on my friend Evan's lap (poor guy) The bird was dead and so the first statement was "Jenni's butt killed the bird!" and so that was the joke the whole time! "Don't let Jenni sit on you...she'll kill you!" I have the greatest friends don't I??

Thanks Jilly Bean for getting me addicted!Jilly, Jeana, Lisa, and I went to Green Bay Friday night and ate at the spagetti dinner and walked around the park, anticipation starting building in my stomach... We then went to the hotel and sat in the hot tub...need I say more...perfect night right?? Just us girls chilling and laughing quite a bit...I really wish Jas could've been there, but
she was in Utah. To no surprise, I could'nt sleep, I love hotels, but can never sleep and I think I was way too anxious! Morning came and we started the morning drill, again anticipation building....

We were wave 5 and had to wait about a half hour to begin, walking up to the start line was incredible, I felt like a kid right before opening christmas presents...I just wanted to go!! And we were off! Jill of course shot ahead of us (She's a pro!) Jeana and I ran the race together and for that I was so happy! I did walk a little, but am pretty proud of myself, I finished! Heck that was a goal haha My official time was 1:18...next year I want better! Mile 4-6 were my hardest, I
wanted to die and the sidewalk was looking better and better with each step, but I pushed myself no help to the charlie-horse in my big toe or the cramp in my left foot....and like I said before crossing that finish line was GREAT! Granted the last 1.2 miles, there are people lining the side of the road...of course I couldn't stop running infront of them, that pushed me also hahaha And I do believe I jumped up in the air after finishing, yes that crazy girl at the end was me and I'm proud of that :)

Human Nature???
Today I was thrown back into reality big time, Arizona was a BLAST!! (Posts for that coming soon) However, Monday morning...UGH enough said right??? Well first thing this morning, we had miscommnuication and mis understanding of the schedule, let me tell you it's been a morning.
Well the head of RT came down and we were trying to figure out how in the world we all missed this and kind of laughing at our morning thus far. He asked me about doing vitals, and I said I didn't know how and he asked if I was a CNA/MA and my reply came quick..."No I'm nothing" I didn't think anything of it, but he just laughed and said..."That it about the most comfident thing I ever heard you say" Now that got me thinking...Ironically I am reading Dieter F. Uchtfork's book The Remarkable Soul of a Woman...of course I am something, but it's human nature to point out and be most confident about our flaws...why is that?? I'm sure our Father in Heaven is sad when we do this and his heart aches as we, his creation and children, put ourselves down and think less than what we are!
So after thinking about this for awhile now and feeling bad that I thought so negative ( Yes I've been on a kick about staying positve..it's an experiment let's say) I've decided to say what I am to prove my pervious statment wrong!!!
